In just a few short days the streets will be filled with miniature goblins, witches, and ghosties all in hot pursuit of that elusive beast: CANDY! But why should human children get all the fun? That furry member of the family suffering that “Dog Vader” costume with the utmost dignity? Doesn’t he deserve something special too? Of course he does! And it’s easier than you think to make delicious home made dog treats. Here are some home made dog food ideas that will make your pooch bow-wow-WOW:
Frozen Peanut Butter Yogurt Treats
Simply melt the peanut butter in a sauce pan over a low flame (or in the microwave in a microwave-safe dish), mix the melted peanut butter together with the yogurt, and pour the mixture into either an empty ice cube tray(s) or cupcake papers. The last step is to put the treats into the freezer until chilled and solid. Pumpkin Wafers
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Combine ingredients and drop small spoonfuls (approximately ½ tablespoon) onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes and let cool before serving! Home made dog food is a wonderful way to show your canine companion how much you care! Dog food, in many ways, is no different than human food: the less preservatives and additives the better. If you get in the habit of preparing home cooked dog food, you’ll have the added benefit of knowing exactly what is going into your little guy’s body. Give these home made dog treats a try and don’t be surprised if your furry friend comes begging for more. With Halloween right around the corner, even those dog owners who normally shy away from dressing up ol’ Buddy may be having second thoughts. What’s cuter than a corny Chihuahua? A piggy poodle? A turtle terrier? Still not convinced? What if I told you your Boston terrier could be a “bone”-a fide bridesmaid? Wondering what else could masquerade your sweet mutt this season? Check out these other fantastic costume ideas.
But let’s face it; whether it be for warmth or style purposes, some dogs need a wardrobe year-round. Whether your dog is the argyle-loving professorial type or more of a laid-back, with the cold weather coming, a sweater is a fun necessity! And if your dog is of the longhaired variety, and will remain plenty warm with her natural fur coat, what about a collar to compliment those lovely locks? Whether your gal likes to glam it up or keep it simple, a leather collar is always an attractive, durable choice. Sometimes dogs can be real night owls, and a pooch who prefers late-night strolls needs something with a bit more glow. There really is no end to the fun ways to dress up your dog. So, have fun turning your dog into a real live Super Muttel, and have a wonderful Halloween! by Joy Randel Labels: clothes for small dogs, designer dog clothes, dog clothes, dog halloween costumes, halloween costumes for dog, large breed dog clothes, pet costumes, pet halloween costumes, small dog clothes by: Dazzle Dog Delight 2 Comments ![]() ![]() |
